Beauty Routine

Beauty Routine

I don't know about you but I often find myself getting swept up in a new beauty routine that is more than i can handle. I fall attracted to the new best thing promoted by an influencer or trying to do all the things the beauty people tell us to do...but more often than not, the new shiny bottle stays dormant almost full on my counter and the new routine I set to have is being let go after a few days...

I am a big fan of trying to go as natural as possible when it comes to what I put on my skin but i do believe in doing and using what works for you and your skin!!

I have found that the best routine for me is to stick to something easy and having no more than 3 steps for my beauty regime. If I am feeling I have more time on my hands, then I'll go the extra and add some more steps to my regime.

My main 3's are:

1. Cleanse your skin to remove dirt, oil, and sunscreen/makeup.
2. Apply Moisturizer to hydrate and protect your skin.
3. Use Sunscreen to protect your skin!!!! (Coola is our fave and we sell not in store)

My extras are:

4.Use a Toner to balance your skin's PH Levels.
5. Exfoliate to remove dead skin cells and reveal a brighter, smoother skin.
6. Use a face masks, or treatment (love the Patchology eye patches) to address specific concerns or to give my skin a boost.

One thing I always struggle with is the order to apply my products in, if i add a new serum or cream to my steps i never know what order to put things in.

General rule of thumb is to apply thinest to thickest.
So start with cleanser, toner, serum, eye cream, moisturizer, and then sunscreen!

(Remember its best to wait a few minutes between each steps to allow the product to fully absorb into the skin before applying the next one. My trick to this is to do my face as I get ready so for example I'll clean then moisturize, go put pants and shirt on, then add oil.. go put jewelry then do sunscreen.. etc)

So here is a little quick Visual guide:
